About the art:

Wild Roses, painted by the Dutch post-Impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh in 1889-1890, was a painting with a dark association with Van Gogh's past. The painting was one when Van Gogh had comitted himself to an institution, at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France.  The painting depicts a bed of white wild roses surrounded by the lush greenery. It was said that this was one of the few paintings Van Gogh did when he finally allowed out of the asylum to the gardens. It is currently being housed at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
